Contributing to ClevelandHealth.info
Thank you for contributing to this community resource! This is how the process works.
Welcome
A free log-in on localhealth.info lets you publish health-related information through our website.
We created localhealth.info to meet the diverse needs of local health information users:
- General information on diseases, treatments, prevention, environmental conditions and other health factors
- Local statistics (community health indicators)
- Organizations that produce and use such data for research and advocacy
- Direct service providers
- Current events, news and policy developments
In addition to listing resources in these categories, we create brief reports that highlight selected data from the resources. These reports illustrate for visitors what is offered by the resources, while exploring issues that are important to our local communities.
Resource links and reports are cross-referenced so that visitors exploring a topic in one category will see related links in the other categories as well.

Joining the Site
Anyone may join this site simply by clicking join on the membership box, and registering a name, username, password and a valid e-mail address.
Membership
Each registered member has a home folder, in which they may create or upload documents, images, links or files. These items are private (not publicly visible) until they are submitted for review by site managers, who may publish the items or return them to the private state. More details about the publishing process are available in the Content Guidelines section.
Members may also belong to Groups. Groups are created by site managers to help members work on projects. Each group has a workspace, which is a folder in which each group member is able to create and edit items. A folder can have a specified reviewer other than the site managers, who can either publish or return items submitted for review. For example, a group of students using ClevelandHealth.info to publish their work for the community may have a group workspace, and their teacher may be assigned as a reviewer of items in the workspace. Another example is a group of members working within a certain topic, whose workspace is reviewed by an academic or community mentor who has expertise in that topic.
Adding Contents
Please see also the Content Guidelines for each content type you would like to add, to make sure your contribution becomes properly cross-referenced and visible in search results, and that it follows the general conventions that make this site a quality publication (you can check these as you go along if needed, since the guidelines are also linked from the content creation pages).
